The University of Glasgow, Clinical Academic Department of Rheumatology, led by Professor Iain McInnes, is seeking to develop and mentor a new generation of academic rheumatologist.  We currently have an exciting 3 year opportunity which will facilitate clinical research experience and training to support an MRC-funded research project in the interface between neuroscience and immunobiology, under the supervision of Professor Jonathan Cavanagh and Dr Neil Basu.  The focus of the research will relate to neuroimaging (7T MRI, MRS and SPECT) in an entirely novel intervention study of Rheumatoid Arthritis that seeks to explore the molecular underpinning of sickness behaviour. As a Clinical Research Fellow (CRF) this post will allow the development of research skills and production of data leading to the submission of an MD or PhD degree.
